Raven

According to the RSPB website, the Reserve is outside the normal range of the Raven, but they are regularly found here. I have seen them and heard them many times, but I have not yet been able to photograph them - I'll keep trying.

On one occasion I saw a Raven being mobbed by Carrion Crows, and the difference in size was very apparent. Once, one flew out of a tree just above the head of 3 of us and made us jump - it is big!

The call is distinctly different from that of a Carrion Crow or a Rook, and even an ignoramus like me can differentiate them.
